Allan Holdsworth
All Night Wrong
The Story
As the folks at Favored Nations put in when describing "All Night Wrong", "The greatest guitar player that ever walked the planet has finally released his first live album. It's Godlike." The concert was recorded at the Roppongi Pit Inn in Tokyo, Japan on May 5th, 2002, and features Allan Holdsworth on guitar, Jimmy Johnson on bass and Chad Wackerman on drums. Holdsworth continues to tour in Japan, Europe, and the United States. A review by L.A. Times jazz critic Don Heckman raved about Holdsworth's touring band, saying that Holdsworth was "an unlikely guitar hero whose phrasing has much in common with the expressions of saxophonist John Coltrane". A must-have for Holdsworth afficionados.
