The Story
The California Guitar Trio's Rocks the West CD features live performances on tour with Tony Levin during the Fall Tour 1999. Tracks such as "Beethoven's Symphony No. 9", Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", and the 17th century traditional Japanese piece, "Rokudan" are played with exquisite craftsmanship in front of an appreciative audience. The dynamic opener "Scramble" features carefully-crafted interwoven lines that prove the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The diversity of the classical mixed, blended, interspirsed, intertwined and melded with rock, jazz and fusion covers really sets "Rocks The West" apart from similar offerings in the genre. Sure to be enjoyed by any six-string fan.
