Short Fuse Blues
The Story
"Short Fuse Blues" features the incredible, intense slide guitar sound and strange playing style of Dave Hole, from one of the most isolated cities in the world: Perth, Australia. Hole developed his over-the-top-of-the-guitar-neck, slide-on-the-index-finger style many years ago, but has been pouring out high-energy, rocking blues to his loyal Perth fans prior to his debut on Alligator Records. "Short Fuse Blues" received rave reviews ("Magnificent, staggering, almost beyond belief. Utterly blues approved.") and a feature story in Guitar Player Magazine and led to Hole being the first foreign artist signed by Alligator Records. In Australia, the Syndey Morning Herald said, "It is blues guitar played with mind-numbing virtuosity. A musician who can hold an audience spellbound."
