The Story
The 23 minute title track to "A Change Of Seasons" was originally written back in 1989 along with "Metropolis - Pt. 1", and was intended to be included on "Images And Words". The piece was finally recorded in 1995 with "Images And Words" producer David Prater. The second half of this recording is taken from the "Uncovered " show which Dream Theater did at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London in January, 1995. The idea behind the show was to have fun and pay tribute to some of the bands the members of Dream Theater grew up listening to: Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Kansas, Dixie Dregs, Journey, Queen and more. They learned the cover tunes in hotel rooms and soundchecks during their Japanese Tour in 1995.
