Luciani
Gypsy Potion
The Story
A tantalizing elixir of music fills the evening air. This music celebrates life's passions with intoxicating rhythms, blazing guitars and spirited horns. Surrender to the delicious spell of "Gypsy Potion". Guido Luciani's third album on the Avalon label is dedicated to the gyspy spirit, musically incorporating elements from many different traditions - Latin rumba, Western pop, jazz and of course, flamenco - the music that originated from the gypsies. Emotionally, however, the music is pure 'gypsy'. Today, the word 'gypsy' brings forth images of bohemian non-conformity and uninhibited free spirit - images that Western audiences are finding more appealing as the perceived demands of everyday life increase.
