The Story
"Project: Driver" is Shrapnel Records' 1986 super group offering featuring Tony MacAlpine on guitars and keyboards, Tommy Aldridge on drums, vocals by Rob Rock and Rudy Sarzo on bass. These long-awaited super sessions feature incredible guitar playing, thunderous rhythm-section work, and intense vocals. "Project: Driver" is an album rich in advanced guitar techniques, and was apparently too heavy and progressive for most major labels. If you didn't buy it in the '80s, you've probably forgotten how killer the MacAlpine solos were - check it out!
