Michael Hedges
Live On The Double Planet
The Story
Michael Hedges was an electrifying, yet sensitive, live perfomer, and his CD "Live On The Double Planet" documents a number of live performances from April and May of 1987. Hedges includes a selection of songs from his brilliant "Breakfast In The Fields" CD, two of which include the title track and the amazing "Silent Anticipation". Five of the twelve cuts are vocal numbers, including his covers of the Beatles hit "Come Together" and a Dylan song popularized by another guitar god, Jimi Hendrix - "All Along the Watchtower". A third cover is the most interesting inclusion, the Prince/Sheila E. composition "A Love Bizarre". Venues included a number of college and university concert halls and The Spectrum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
