Mike Stern
Odds Or Evens
The Story
Mike Stern's 1991 release is entitled "Odds Or Evens", and features eight instrumental cuts rooted in jazz and played with the fire of fusion. Reviewer Ries van Schelven writes, "A good album. It contains one of Mike's best songs ever, "Common Ground". Other high points of this album are "If You Say So" - which shows again the versatility of the man - and some acoustic excellence demonstrated in "Sandbox." "Odds Or Evens" features the drumming tag team of Dennis Chambers and Ben Perowsky, as well as producer Jim Beard on piano and synthesizers.
