New Columns

June's guest columnists bring the music business, technical tips, and recording advice to the table, and cover topics on guitar technique, marketing, and goal setting. We've got thirteen fresh articles altogether - ten by returning columnists along with three new contributors. Canadian guitarist David Martone is back with another in his series entitled "Zone Recording: Major Album Deal". German Schauss returns with another technique article called "Picking Sequences, Part II". Guitarist Mike Campese is here with "Synthetic Scales". Tom Hess returns with his comprehensive column "Want To Become A Professional Musician?". Scott Allen starts a new series with "Gearing Up". Guitarist Jamie Andreas is back with her column entitled "On Memorizing, Part One". Kole returns to guide you with, "3 Ways To Get Out Of A Songwriting Rut". We welcome back Kevin Ferguson, as he contributes his thoughts on "Hazards Of Playing A Wide Variety And Mix Of Genres". Christopher Knab has written a wealth of valuable information for future label owners on "How to Write Your Own Music Marketing Plan". New contributors include Michael Shouse with "Where To Go, When Playing Fast 16th Note Runs?", Anthony Pell with "Home Recording Studio Mixing Tips" and Hungarian guitarist Jonas Tamas with a technique column, "Natural Harmonics Used In A Riff".
