Racer X
Live Extreme Volume II
The Story
One of the greatest bands in the history of heavy metal, Racer X recorded "Live Extreme Volume II" at the same shows as "Live Extreme Volume", and it offers entirely different material, including a KISS cover ("Detroit Rock City") and a song that quotes Led Zeppelin's "Dazed And Confused" ("Heart Of A Lion"). The Racer X tag team of Paul Gilbert and Bruce Bouillet provide the blazing axework, while John Alderete, Scott Travis and Jeff Martin deliver a high energy display of musicianship and intense arrangements. Gilbert reminisces, "There aren't any unaccompanied solos on "Live Extreme Volume II", so there are a few more songs this time. I think I actually prefer this CD."
