Here's the CD that legions of Rippingtons fans have been waiting for! Recorded at various venues, "Live Across America", The Rippingtons - one of the most popular groups in contemporary jazz - deliver rousing, live versions of both their radio hits and the songs most requested by their fans in concert. Among many highlights on this eagerly anticipated live CD is Russ Freeman's amazing guitar wizardry on an inspired tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Special guests on "South Beach Mambo", "Rain", "Avenida Del Mar" and "Summer Lovers" include Eric Marienthal on sax, Scott Breadman on percussion, Dave Karasony on drums and Bill Heller on keyboards.
