Steve Vai
Alive In An Ultra World
The Story
"Alive In An Ultra World" is a double CD set featuring 15 tracks of Steve Vai's signature sound and legendary virtuosity - about an hour and a half of Vai live! As Vai describes it, "This is an indulgent compilation of music with many little guitar notes! Sequestering myself with traditional music from various countries of the world and writing an album based on these cultures, and recording these songs in these exotic cultures was one ot these recurring fantasies of mine. When the temptation and the incessant daydreams reached an uncontrollable peak, the construction of this record became a reality." Guitarists on the tour and on "Alive In An Ultra World" include Mike Keneally and Dave Weiner. Inspired moments from inspired musicians -- and one modern day virtuoso!
