Strunz/Farah
Stringweave
The Story
The brilliant acoustic duo Strunz and Farah's 2001 release "Stringweave" blends the passion of flamenco with the improvisational aspects of jazz and dazzling Afro-Latin and Middle Eastern rhythms. "Stringweave" also showcases more than a dozen guest musicians including classical guitarist Liona Boyd, South Indian violinist L. Subramaniam, Puerto Rican cuatro player Edwin Colon Zayas, and Persian violinist Bijan Mortazavi. Percussion-filled and featuring numerous fretted string instruments (hence the title), "Stringweave" is a guitarist's dream CD, merging man and instrument, that will supply hours of listening pleasure.
