Zone Recording: The Wait Is Over

Welcome readers to another installment of Zone Recording. I have some great and exciting news for you. There are two things that I would like to share with you. First is the new Martone "Live In Your Face" DVD from the Montreal Jazz Festival.

This DVD is an official bootleg of our small tour in Canada last year that closed in Montreal. This was, and is, as live as it gets. The DVD almost did not happen, but with the thanks of Ralph Angelillo and Serge Gamache it was released! There was no editing of any cameras or audio, so "what you see is what you get." This is as "live and in your face" as it gets!

Next is the Magna Carta release of my next record "Clean". We signed a three album deal with Magna Carta last month, and are very excited to be working with Peter, Dan, Jeremy and Barbara in helping make this the best Martone release yet!

Special guests on the record are Joe Satriani, Billy Sheehan, Greg Howe, Jennifer Batten and Ric Fierabracci, with Daniel Adair of Nickelback playing drums on the entire record and with David Spidel playing bass on the rest of the album.

On "Clean" you will have a first hand chance to hear many of the concepts and ideas that I have discussed in this column over the last year or so. Many of the ideas discussed are brought into fruition on this record which is way way different than my last Lion Music release "When The Aliens Come".

Click here to watch a video clip on info for the record.

Please also watch out for the December issue of Guitar Player Magazine. I will be featured in a 5-7 page article.

After all of this I need to practice, since there has not been much time for any of that!

May the tone be with you.
