Gutty Guitars, Expressive Vocals

Live From Riverside is the new CD-R release from Peach, a band fronted by vocalist/guitarist Peach and assisted by guitarist Joey Delgado, drummer Maria Martinez, saxman Paulie Cerra, keyboardist Hardy Eason and bassist Eric T. Ward. The live recording showcases the band's strengths, original contemporary blues compositions with soul/folk edges, classic covers ("I Can't Stand The Rain"), Peach's golden, expressive throat, and the requisite sturdy blues licks and solos. Cerra also handles the lead vocals on "On My Way Home", but this is Peach's territory for the most part. Highlights include the rhythmically buoyant "Muddy Water" and "Never Make Your Move Too Soon", which features an extended Hammond solo by Eason. A wonderful example of a blues band, captured live on stage for your listening pleasure.

Peach was raised in Anderson, Indiana and grew up listening to Motown as well as such greats as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday and Bessie Smith. By the age of 16, Peach was an accomplished guitarist and toured throughout the Midwest playing at universities and coffee houses. Peach attended music school at the University of Denver where she was the featured vocalist for the university's jazz band. After a fourteen year detour in which she founded MicroVantage, Inc., a computer training company, she started playing and recording her own slightly twisted songs in 1999. Currently, Peach is playing local LA clubs and is co-writing with her band.

Touring and more recording are on tap for Peach, as she forges ahead as a blues(wo)man in a male-dominted genre. She'll give the boys club a run for their money.
