George Lynch
Furious George
The Story
"Furious George" brings guitarist George Lynch's guitar playing to a new level of shredding. The album is collection of cover tunes with extensive guitar solos that will leave his legion of fans pointing and staring, as their speakers melt in the guitar fury. Lynch exhibits an awareness, sensitivity and mastery of a variety of styles on this record as he navigates musical territory originally trod on by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Grand Funk, Mountain, Jeff Beck, Montrose, Cactus and Captain Beyond. Lynch states, "I tried to narrow the focus and keep this a late '60s/early '70s era rock record, and I think that was a good decision which has left us with many doors and possibilities open for the next time around."
