Al DiMeola
Winter Nights
The Story
Al DiMeola offers his fans some holiday cheer with his Christmas album, "Winter Nights". On the CD, DiMeola performs recognizable holiday favorites such as "Carol Of The Bells", "The First Noel", "Greenslesves" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". Taking the music a step beyond, DiMeola also has composed some of his own seasonal soon-to-be-classics, such as "Midwinter Nights", "First Snow" and the jazzy "Zima". "Winter Nights" finds DiMeola playing acoustic guitars, harp, keyboards, and percussion and the guitarist is joined by Roman Hrynkiv on bandura and Hernan Romero on acoustic guitar and percussion. DiMeola closes the record with a beautiful rendition of "Ave Maria".
