Jake E. Lee
Retraced
The Story
On "Retraced", guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands) revisits some of the music that inspired him as a young guitarist. Teaming up with drummer Aynsley Dunbar, bassist Tim Bogert, and vocalist Chris Logan, Jake plays stellar versions of songs previously recorded by artists such as Free, Montrose, Grand Funk, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, etc., each song brimming with high energy guitar work. Amazing, since Lee admitted not caring that much for cover tunes in general, and even more amazing since his guitar had been in the back of a Las Vegas closet for over a year. But the lure of playing with monster musicians Bogert and Dunbar was too string, so "Retraced" is dedicated to the memory of Lee's early, formative years, playing tunes in his bedroom.
